A live painting is one which Melissa Mattei will come to the event and capture as much as possible over a period of 4 hours. The painting is then finished at home. Live paintings are a unique way to remember special events. A custom artwork for a lifetime!

Pricing:

Live Paintings start at 1500$CAD. Includes one oil painting created live at your event for about 4-6 hours and completed in studio with a canvas size of 16x20”. Larger or smaller canvas sizes are available.

Only high quality archival products are used to ensure the longevity of your artwork.

A large part of the painting will be done during the event and will take an additional 6 to 10 weeks to finish the final touch at the studio. If you require the painting for a certain date please indicate this in your contact form below. You are welcome to pick up the painting at my studio in Laval, or I can ship the painting to you at an additional cost of $150. Shipping is professionally handled and fully insured by UPS.

Packages are available for a Live Wedding Painting and a Bridal Themed Paint Party for a bridal shower! A paint party is an incredibly fun way for your guests to get to know each other while honing in on their creative side. Additional fees:

75 cents per km for travelling fee after the first 20 km each way

Over two hours of travelling requires one-night lodging compensation of $200CAD

Over five hours of travelling requires two-night lodging compensation of $400CAD

One vendor meal will be provided during the event if painted during the reception.

The total cost will be divided into two instalments. The first retainer (50% of total cost) must be paid upon signing the contract in order to reserve the date. The remaining balance can be paid upon painting pick up or delivery.

Additional Wedding Painting Thank You Notes, Print on Canvas or Print on Linen Paper is available to order at a separate cost.

Once you decide to include live painting at your event or celebration, we chat on the phone and discuss your painting and the process that will follow on the day of the event. Some clients are very specific about the scene, while others allow me to observe and decide on-site. Either way, the conversation allows me to understand who you are and the type of work that best describes and inspires you. Because I believe this painting will become a family heirloom, something to be cherished by your family for generations, I listen very carefully to everything you say about how you envision your love story to be immortalised in a fine art oil painting.
